Here are a few pointers to help you with any checks you might want to do. Read the directions for each utility when you are ready to use it.

The link below will take you to the softpedia antivirus download page with the download of the free Dr-WEB-cureit antivirus/antispyware program already selected. Just click on the download arrow and on second page click on external mirror 1. After the download is completed find the launch icon where you save your downloads and double click to start the scan.

Another great freeware utility is Malwarebytes at the link below. Use same procedure as for DR-WEB except this one installs to the hard drive.

CCleaner is yet another great freeware tool. On the choose link page it has US and RO options. I stick with US.

If you need a freeware antivirus utility Microsoft Security Essentials is one of the better free downloads from Microsoft.

Lost or forgotten passwords can keep you from accessing your computer. Here is a live cd that (when booted) will scan your computer and collect those pass words. Takes quite a while.
